|Michael Wright - Artistic Director
Michael is a Director, Playwright and Actor and the founding Artistic Director of SeeNoSun OnStage. After rebuilding Molotov Theatre Group, where he served as Co-Artistic Director (September 2012 to February 2014), he returned to SeeNoSun OnStage, a theater company that he established in 2010.
SeeNoSun's 2017 "Helen Hayes Awards Recommended" production of Doubt, A Parable cemented Michael's reputation as a director with an unflinching artistic integrity who takes a fearless approach to the thought provoking work he brings to the stage. Other recent directing credits include SeeNoSun's critically acclaimed 2015 production of Bug and 2014 production of Killer Joe.
In 2013, Michael directed Extremities for Molotov Theatre. He wrote, produced and directed The Extermination Machine for SeeNoSun in 2012 which drew rave reviews at the Capital Fringe Festival. He produced and directed Edmund White's Terre Haute for SeeNoSun at the 2010 Fringe. He also directed House of America for the Welsh Reading Series (performed at Studio Theatre) for the 2009 Smithsonian Folklife Festival. As an Actor, this Equity Membership Candidate originated the role of Policeman #2 in Tom Stoppard's Rock n Roll at Studio Theatre where he also studied directing under Joy Zinoman.
